Plan to meet daily at 8:30 and 3:00 to join your camp / van:

Mt Pleasant: Mt Pleasant Waterfront Park, 99 Harry Hallman Blvd *We're always on the move, so alternate schedules cannot be accommodated.

Welcome to camp! Campers arrive at 8:30 am: caregivers can chat with instructors about any special needs during the day

Activity

Adventures activities are usually first: surfing, rock climbing, boat tour, etc. You'll get a Monday-Friday schedule as you register.

Lunch

After the activity, we find a shady place for lunch and games or free time.

Afternoons

Afternoons vary widely, and can include camp games, sweet treats, geocaching, playgrounds, splash pads, and more. With the vans to travel in, instructors can be flexible to meet camper needs.

Departure

Caregivers meet at the pick up location, and can chat with instructors again.

Also

We have morning and afternoon snacks (provided), refill camper's water bottles and re-apply sunscreen throughout the day.

Camp Updates

Caregivers who sign up for Remind will get daily updates, reminders of tomorrow's activity and what to bring, and photos!

Each camp as the same schedule of adventure activities each week, but with the vans to travel in, the rest of the day varies widely! Most campers come for two weeks per summer. We limit campers to four weeks, by law*

*Camps are not allowed to register campers for more than four weeks unless they are a day care facility.

Yes! Of course! However, remember that we have groups of just 13 campers. We've found that bringing many friends (or carpooling with too many friends) can create disruptive group behavior. We will divide friend groups of more than 4 campers.

Famous Adventures is open on rainy days (and cold days, during the school year). We usually find picnic shelters and play games, and we'll have fun despite a dreary day.

Each group has two adult staff and up to 13 campers. We maintain a 1:6 ratio during the day, and when we visit outfitters, we take on additional adult instructors, so the ratio during activities is 1:1 or 1:3. Each camper receives personal attention.

All of our staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, and Abuse Prevention. And all of our staff have previous experience working with children. We are teachers, college students, and camp professionals. Learn more about each instructor
