Activities
Famous Adventures provides campers with outdoor adventure opportunities in a physically and emotionally safe environment. We believe in experiential learning to promote personal development.
We envision a world in which campers grow up to become kind, responsible caretakers of the Lowcountry and the wider world.

Charleston Aquapark
All-Star and Adventure Campers
Grades 2-8
All-Star and Adventure Campers can challenge themselves on the ropes course and the floating obstacle course! Lifejackets and close-toed shoes are required. The Aquapark Lifeguards keep us safe, and our staff assist with group needs and play with campers.
Beach Day / Fossil Hunt
Discovery Campers
Grades 1-3
Our beach days are extra-safe. We'll set up near the lifeguards at the County Park areas of the beach. Campers cool off in knee-deep water and play games on the sand. We'll hunt for shark teeth and shells at one of our top-secret spots. Sunscreen is re-applied every 45 minutes on beach days.

FAQs:

- Campers don't have to surf if they don't want to.
- We surf in chest- to waist-deep water and gentler waves. Instructors and camp staff adjust for beginner to experienced abilities.
- Isla and Famous staff are trained for safety, including rip tides and beach hazards.

Water Parks
Discovery, Explorer, and Adventure Campers
Grades 1-8
A perfect way to end a week of camp! Discovery campers visit Splash Island in Mt Pleasant, Explorer heads to Splash Zone in James Island, and Adventure campers go to Whirlin' Waters in North Charleston. Parents can request their camper to wear lifejackets. Each water park is age-appropriate and has plenty of lifeguards available. Famous Adventures staff keep an eye on campers (and splash with them!)
